I am Shawanda Carter, the author of the Sick Obsession series (parts 1-3) and Stone Cold Gentleman (parts 1-2) . I am 33 years old and the youngest child in my family. I have always enjoyed writing since it was always a way for me to escape reality and go into my on imagination. It allows me to create my very own reality (if that makes sense). Anything I dealt with in life, I was able to relate it to or release it in my writing. I started with poetry, which is my first love. Now I have the chance to write some of my poems in full length stories. My work is fictional and it come to me in the strangest of ways. I love to write and I don't think of it as a job, it’s just my first love to me. I know that it’s only because God blessed me with this gift. Most people like to write in a quiet environment, where as I enjoy the company of many people around me or just going on about their daily lives. I can easily write without distraction. I enjoy being around life as it is going on verses being in a quiet area with only my thoughts. I hope to one day further my writing into the areas of film, screen plays and producing. I know that with God I can’t go wrong. Even though it may seem like it’s not moving much, I know with time it will all come together.
